Bird and Cattails
Acting as an informal gateway into Burlington's downtown district, this sculpture is the first in a series of public works commissioned by the city of Burlington, VT.
Titled Bird and Cattails, the sculpture draws inspiration from Burlington's foundation on what used to be wetlands, and is intended to represent the local ecology and wildlife continually displaced by urban development.
In collaboration with Kyle Sikora, our proposal was one of four selected for completion. The sculpture can be found at the intersection of Maple and St Paul Street.
